Home Instead Senior Care – Polk County Becomes First Iowa Accredited Home Care Agency
WEST DES MOINES, Iowa (March 24, 2023) – Home Instead Senior Care – Polk County has become the first Iowa Accredited Home Care Agency, announced by Iowa Center for Home Care (ICHC), a division of the Iowa Health Care Association (IHCA), today. By achieving accreditation, Home Instead Senior Care completed ICHC’s Home Care Accreditation Program to demonstrate that it meets operational and quality standards for excellence that set accredited agencies apart from others in the industry.
“At Home Instead, we are committed to providing quality care and service for our patients, and being named as an Accredited Home Care Agency by ICHC is an honor,” said Anne Peters, administrator of Home Instead Senior Care.
The ICHC Home Care Accreditation Program consists of 18 quality and operational standards of excellence that include the development of service plans, procedures, policies and licensure, as well as a quality performance plan. To become accredited, Home Instead Senior Care met all 18 standards through submitting the required documents that were reviewed and approved by the ICHC Accreditation Review Committee.
“The dedication of Home Instead Senior Care to continuing its quality improvement journey by completing the ICHC Home Care Accreditation Program is a powerful testament to the quality of care provided by Iowans to Iowans through home care services,” said IHCA President and CEO Brent Willett.
