Ingabire nominated for Saint Mary’s 2023 Outstanding Senior
WINONA, MN. (March 27, 2023) – Christa Ingabire, daughter of Damascene Rusanganwa and Beatrice Ntawangundi of Kigali, Rwanda, was nominated for Saint Mary’s University’s 2023 Outstanding Senior award.
Outstanding Seniors have demonstrated the ideals of scholarship, character, leadership, service to colleagues and the university community, as well as genuine concern for the needs of others.
Ingabire is a Computer Science major and Business Analytics minor at Saint Mary’s. She has served in executive roles for the Merging Intercultural Experiences (MIX) club, most notably as president of the club her senior year. She has also been a member of the Black Students and Allies group and Data Analytics clubs. She is a member of Delta Epsilon Sigma (National Scholastic Honor Society), and she is a peer tutor. She has been a resident assistant for three years and has worked at the International Center and the IT helpdesk. After graduation, she plans to take her skills into the workforce and hopes to become a data scientist.
Catherine Pierpont and William Sepsis were the two students recognized as the 2023 Outstanding Seniors at the university’s Founders’ Day celebration.
The other students nominated for Outstanding Senior included Grace Howard, Mackenzie Kelly, Sophia O’Neil, Guy Cardinal, Brady Lindauer, Brandon Merfeld, and Joseph Schauf.
