The Iowa Gaming Association (IGA) appreciated the opportunity to be a sponsor of the President’s Reception as part of INA’s annual convention; thanks for your industry’s advocacy efforts and community involvement!
As a valuable resource and a worthwhile future reference; enclosed you will find two updated collateral pieces intended to heighten awareness of the many economic and entertainment benefits Iowa’s 19 commercial casinos (not tribal or Lottery) provide:
> The 2-page ‘pie chart’ that summarizes the many visionary projects and programs the Iowa Legislature allocated dollars during this past 2024 session and fiscal year; the gaming industry helped fund many worthy initiatives with nearly $354 million from the casinos’ gaming tax revenue!
> The 4-page piece highlights the 19 casino locations and their many amenities beyond the gaming floor to tout how each property is a premier entertainment destination for their respective community and region.
* This summary also touts that the gaming industry continues to be resilient and remains collectively strong with an annual Iowa economic impact of over $1 billion when combining:
– stable employment with over $274 million in wages and benefits for nearly 6800 employees
– a successful Buy Iowa First program purchasing more than $636 million of products and services from Iowa based companies
– $126 million in donations including contributed for charitable grants to thousands of beneficial non-profit projects
– significant gaming tax revenue generated for the legislature and communities including combined $494 million in federal- state-county-local taxes paid.
I offer to be a resource for any gaming-related questions.
